BGSO program to foster graduate-undergraduate mentoring


Graduate student interested in mentoring?

Get a chance to build your mentoring skills by connecting with an undergraduate student and giving them the tools they need to accomplish their professional or academic goals. BGSO is happy to announce they are accepting submissions for mentors for their pilot cohort!

Members interested in becoming mentors complete this form by June 1st, 2026

The pilot cohort for mentors and mentees will be created over the summer. After which, each mentor/mentee pair will sign the program contract/agreement form.

The GUIDE program pilot cohort officially starts Fall semester of 2026

With the created and established pilot cohort of mentors and mentees, program activities officially begin.

Mid-way evaluation for the pilot program - late October/early November

The BGSO executive board will reach out to each mentor/mentee pair and will obtain information on the effectiveness and satisfaction of the program at the mid-way point.

Completion of the program + cohort celebration - December 2026

After the completion of the program, the cohort will receive a department-recognized certificate of completion in addition to a dinner to celebrate the accomplishments of each mentor/mentee pair.
