BGSO offers funding for graduate students attending conferences

ODU graduate programs in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, and Ecological Sciences require presentation of your research results in professional conferences. Attending these can turn out costly, and BGSO could help to cover some expenses.

How to apply

    Submit conference abstract

    BGSO needs some proof of conference attendance: most commonly, receipt confirmation or letter of acceptance of your conference abstract

    Obtain statement from advisor

    Your academic advisor will need to confirm that the conference will benefit your professional development in a letter of recommendation

  3. 3

    Submit application

    Fill in the application form (available on CampusGroups) and submit all necessary materials to the official award application form

  4. 4

    Once approved

    Provide further details (e.g., payment/checkout links or screenshots, personal info, etc.) to submit Payment Requests via CampusGroup by the Treasurer

    SET staff will approve those requests and proceed payments
