The ODU AIAA gives students the chance to use our affiliated lab spaces to work on individual or group projects. Students are given access to all of the tools and materials required to work on fixed-wing/multirotor drones as well as cube satellite technology.
Traditional and experimental fixed wing platforms give students the opportunity to learn about aerodynamics, airplane design, and propulsion.

The AIAA Design, Build, Fly (DBF) competition is an international collegiate aircraft design competition hosted annually by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Teams are challenged to design, manufacture, test, and compete with a remote-controlled aircraft built to accomplish a unique mission profile defined by the yearly competition rules.
