The MBA Association is led by students, for the students.

Whether you have one or several hours a week to dedicate to the Association, we need your voice (and help!) We wish to be representative of all students - and this includes the full time workers, parents, international students, … - and you're a part of us!

Our goal is to organize activities for MBA students to meet outside of classes and have fun!

President

Don't be scared by the title - our President role is to oversee and group all the pieces of the puzzle together. Requirements is to be a leader - the kind that makes people around feel inspired and welcome. In terms of hours requirement, it depends on the activities being planned: it's usually not more than one or two a week across the entire week. One of the biggest task is to sit down with the treasurer in April to set the budget for the upcoming year.

Vice-President

Our VP will help the President (quite traditional, eh?) We are all about sharing the responsibilities so everyone can enjoy the fun parts even more! The hours required for this role also depends on the activities being planned at the moment, of course, but it's usually not more than one or two a week.

Treasurer

No need to be a banker or investment specialist! The treasurer's position will keep track of the expenses, request payment from the Student Government Association (on campus group, it's an easy/straightforward platform), and make the budget in April for the upcoming year (with the help of the President).

Social Media Coordinator

We need to put the word out about all the fun we're having - so we need a social media coordinator! We use a "buffer," and posts can be uploaded ahead, leaving only unexpected events to be posted "last minute." This usually takes less than an hour a week. We use: Instagram, Facebook, ODU Campus Groups, and Twitter - but what am I saying... you're in charge now!

Project Manager

You want to be involved but you don't have a consistent schedule? Become a Project Manager: come to us with an idea (or we can brainstorm together) of an event you would like to organize, and you would oversee it - with our help, of course. Many students could fill this position, as we would like to be as representative of the MBA students as possible.
