Our Mission

The mission of the IDT GSO is to engage, support, and connect Instructional Design and Technology students through professional development, faculty and alumni collaboration, research and outreach opportunities, and authentic experiences that extend learning beyond the classroom.

To support this mission, the IDT GSO works to:

• Create professional development opportunities for IDT students through events, conferences, publications, and academic programming.

• Strengthen communication and collaboration among IDT students, faculty, alumni, and professional communities.

• Encourage student involvement in faculty research, community outreach, and authentic design problems.

• Increase awareness of IDT practice and research locally, nationally, and globally.

• Seek financial support to help sustain student-centered programming and professional opportunities.
