The Department of Computer Science (CS) at Old Dominion University (ODU) will host its seventh annual Trick-or-Research event on October 31, 2025, bringing together Halloween fun and research exploration. This much-anticipated event will invite students, faculty, and staff to discover the department’s cutting-edge research through interactive lab tours, engaging demonstrations, and conversations with professors and research groups.

Designed to help undergraduate students learn about research opportunities within the department, Trick-or-Research 2025 will take place in person at the E.V. Williams Engineering & Computational Sciences Building (E&CSB) and Dragas Hall, with a virtual component via Gather.town for remote participants. To embrace the Halloween spirit, attendees are encouraged to dress in creative costumes and compete for CS-themed prizes and swag.

Blending academic discovery with festive fun, Trick-or-Research 2025 promises to be a spooktacular celebration of innovation, community, and curiosity.
