About Us
The American Library Association Student Chapter of the Library and Information Studies Program at Old Dominion University (ALA@ODU) is dedicated to the educational, professional, service, and social enrichment of the students of the MLIS Program. Membership in ALA@ODU is free, and American Library Association (ALA) membership, while not required, is encouraged. Officers consist of ODU LIBS students. The group's focus is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information about issues, trends, and opportunities in the profession and to develop skills and relationships that will enable students to have a creative impact on the profession.
