Linux is an umbrella of various operating system distributions which are ideal for software development. This workshop will focus on setting up a clean and easy to work with development environment with tips and tricks beyond simply "install software X, Y, and Z" to make your development life easier and more hassle free! Some experience with Linux and the command-line is beneficial but not necessary, though attendees will need access to a Linux operating system if they intend to follow along. For Computer Science students, this is provided for you automatically. As a note, many of the items and tips discussed will also work for OS X as a substitute!
* You do not need to be a CS student to attend or participate!
