Understanding and developing your Emotional Intelligence (EI) can help you succeed in school, develop relationships, and navigate the challenges of life. EI refers to a distinct combination of emotional and social skills that influence your overall capability to cope effectively with the unique demands and pressures of school and life.

We would like you to complete an online emotional intelligence assessment, the Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i 2.0). The EQ-i 2.0 will provide insight into:
´éº How you interact with others
´éº Your self-confidence
´éº Expressing yourself
´éº Making tough decisions
´éº Dealing with stress
´éº Your general well-being
Your assessment answers and results will be held in the strictest confidence. Your report will be made available to only you and a counselor. Following your assessment, you may be invited to book a one-on-one feedback session with a counselor about your results.
In order for the results to reflect your behaviors and feelings as accurately as possible, and for you to get the most out of this assessment process, please take approximately 20 minutes of uninterrupted time to complete the instrument. EI involves a combination of skills and competencies that best match the context of your unique situations. Therefore, there are no right or wrong answers.
In order to access the EQ-i 2.0, click http://s.mhs.com/o8J3TgX. You must complete the questions in one sitting or the system will not save your answers and you will need to start over from the beginning.

Please do not hesitate to contact Dionicia Mahler-Rogers at dmahlerr@odu.edu, if you have any questions about the EQ-i 2.0.
