Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) – Unlock Opportunities for Your Future!

What is WRP?

The Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) is a federally coordinated initiative that connects college students and recent graduates with disabilities to internships and employment opportunities. Managed by the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Defense, WRP promotes workplace diversity by facilitating the recruitment of talented individuals into both federal and private sectors.

Program Overview:

Student Registration – Eligible ODU students and recent graduates with disabilities can apply through the CCLD School Coordinator (VA Work-Study Team).

Application & Interview – Applicants submit resumes and participate in structured interviews with CCLD staff and WRP recruiters, who assess their skills and qualifications.

Database Inclusion – Qualified candidates are entered into the WRP database, which is accessible to federal agencies and private employers from December 1, 2025 – December 1, 2026.

Recruitment & Hiring – Government and private-sector employers use the database to identify and recruit candidates for internships and full-time employment.
