Welcome to ODUÔÇÖs African StudentsÔÇÖ Association Page!

We stress unity and education. As an organization, we hope to educate and inform people about African culture and values, and to erase common misconceptions about Africa. We also aim to create a sense of unity among African and non-African students here on the campus of Old Dominion University.

Mission
The mission of Virginia Eta, chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta, is to encourage and recognize excellence in scholarship within health sciences; to stimulate an appreciation of the importance of health science education; to promote communication between health science students, educators and professionals; to provide service to the community in area healthcare settings; to provide a forum for students with common interests; to uphold and exemplify Old Dominion University to the community; and to be recognized by Alpha Epsilon Delta, a National Society, as a local chapter.

Once inducted into Alpha Epsilon Delta, you are eligible to wear the graduation regalia, apply for Alpha Epsilon Delta scholarships, attend the Alpha Epsilon Delta national convention (held biennially), and submit articles for publication in The Scalpel, (the journal of Alpha Epsilon Delta).

Alpha Psi Omega (APO) is a nationally recognized honor society for students studying theatre at the collegiate level. The Old Dominion University American Society of Civil Engineers Student Chapter is aimed to provide students with the opportunity to meet and learn from local professionals in the field of Civil Engineering and provide students with an improved opportunity to earn scholarships and internships.The organization also attends an annual Virginia conference where students are able to apply what they have learned in class by participating in competitions and projects which involve various Civil Engineering topics. We aim to bring hands-on experience and networking opportunities to the academic environment, in order to broaden the students' knowledge and passion of Civil Engineering.

ASNE student members are showing their commitment and leadership as an engineer, while gaining access to a wide variety of resources that will further their careers. In 2020, undergraduate students have free registration to MACC in Baltimore, MegaRust in San Diego, TSS in Washington, D.C., AMTS in Philadelphia, and FMMS in Virginia Beach. In addition, to these publication and networking opportunities, local sections meet on a monthly basis and there are regular virtual webinars that connect ASNE members with high-impact speakers across the country. Much of ASNE's on-demand learning catalog is free for members, and it contains student-focused modules on Resume Building and Interview Preparation for New Engineers. If you need to start a new chapter at your school email us, and we will help you do this easily (and it looks great on the resume!). Feel free to ask us questions about this dynamic and ever-growing opportunity.

The ODU Anime Club was formed in 2001 to serve the needs of nerds on campus. Its members share a variety of interests, including (but not limited to) anime, video games, role-playing, tabletop gaming, and cosplaying. It meets in Webb Center every Thursday from 6pm to 10pm. When it is not meeting, many of the members relax in the Lion's Den in the front of the Webb Center.
