Welcome Back Monarchs!

We hope you enjoyed your spring break, and hope you're feeling charged up to tackle the last 42 days of the spring 2025 semester! You can do it! As you dive into the next few weeks as a student organization leader, we want you to consider the the dates and information below to ensure a smooth end to the spring with our eyes on the fall! 

Budget Request Deadline

The deadline to submit your organization's budget request for the 2025-2026 academic year is Friday, March 28th. To begin your request, follow these steps:

  1. Log into Monarch Groups and navigate to your organization’s page.
  2. Click on the Money tab, then select Budgeting.
  3. In the drop-down menu, choose SGA Budget 2025-2026.
  4. Click Create Budget Request on the right side of the page.
  5. Submit your request for review by SGA.

As you plan for the upcoming year with your officer or executive board teams, we encourage you to attend a Budget Request Workshop hosted by SGA on the dates below. You can register for these workshops in Monarch Groups!

Planning Ahead

If your organization is planning to hold elections before the end of the academic year, encourage your officers to carve out time for shadowing if there are officers transitioning out of their roles. The next academic year will be here before we know it!

Re-registration will open on Tuesday, April 1st and will close Friday, August 1st. Be mindful that your re-registration submission should reflect the officers who will be active in the 2025-2026 academic year. 

Dates to add to calendar:

-EMS Reservations for the summer and fall semester will open up on Tuesday, April 15th! 

-Applications for student organization office spaces will open on Monday, April 7th and close on Monday, April 14th. 

Admitted Students Day (ASD) will be on Saturday, April 5th! This event is centered around celebrating the students who have gained admission to ODU by welcoming them to the Monarch Pride! We're currrently looking for members of the student organization community who would like to volunteer in the festivities. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the sign-up here. Volunteers for ASD are encouraged to wear any gear gear that promotes their organization. Volunteers will also be given lunch. If you have any questions please email set@odu.edu.
