Committed to ethical practice, we aspire to raise awareness, contribute to community well-being, and prepare students for impactful roles in occupational therapy.

Professional Development Opportunities -Access to workshops, guest speakers, and panels with experienced occupational therapists. Networking with professionals and alumni for guidance, mentorship, and potential job opportunities. -Opportunities to attend state and national OT conferences, expanding knowledge and professional connections. Skill-Building Events -Monthly game nights and themed activities, like pumpkin carving and Valentine’s card-making, to build clinical and fine motor skills in a fun, hands-on way. -Dedicated events for hands-on skill practice, such as engaging with fine motor skills activities with kids and creating community outreach projects. Community Involvement and Service -Participation in community-focused events such as food drives and fundraisers, allowing members to give back while promoting OT’s role in health and wellness. -Engagement in outreach programs for children’s hospitals, promoting a client-centered approach in real-life settings. -Celebrations for World Down Syndrome Day, World Autism Awareness Day, and Occupational Therapy Month to increase awareness and advocacy for OT within the community. Social and Peer Support Network -Spirit Week activities to build camaraderie, including Crazy Sock Day, Favorite OT Shirt Day, and Dress Like a Professor Day. -Game nights and other social gatherings to foster a sense of community and balance between work and social life. -Access to a support network of peers and faculty, fostering a collaborative and positive learning environment.
