In our quest to find a story that would help us tell our own – that representation in media matters in the news, culture, and advertising –we came across a publication called The Richmond Planet and its editor John Mitchell Jr. and knew this was exactly what we were searching for. The deeper we dug into the story, the more we felt compelled to tell it in full. And we knew that as a creative and production studio, we had the tools and resources to give it life. After conceiving, writing, directing, shooting, editing, researching, art directing, designing, animating, scoring, coloring, and finishing this documentary, we are thrilled to share it with the world and we hope it adds a chapter to our collective story.
