My name is Ana Luz Williams and I serve as the Associate Director for Black and Latinx Initiatives in the Office of Intercultural Relations. I am also the Education Advisor for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Coastal VA, and they are having a Hispanic Heritage month event called Nuestra Feria in Oceanview Park. The President of the Hispanic Chamber has asked if our students wanted to be featured in the Hispanic Heritage Heroes display they will have at thier event? We would need for students to submit a hero/shero of their native country of heritage and give a quick bio of the person. Your photo and name will be on the display as the contributor of the information and those displays will then be displayed on campus for the rest of Hispanic Heritage month.
