ASNE student members are showing their commitment and leadership as an engineer, while gaining access to a wide variety of resources that will further their careers. In 2020, undergraduate students have free registration to MACC in Baltimore, MegaRust in San Diego, TSS in Washington, D.C., AMTS in Philadelphia, and FMMS in Virginia Beach. In addition, to these publication and networking opportunities, local sections meet on a monthly basis and there are regular virtual webinars that connect ASNE members with high-impact speakers across the country. Much of ASNE's on-demand learning catalog is free for members, and it contains student-focused modules on Resume Building and Interview Preparation for New Engineers. Cancer's Future Adversaries will be a group of future professionals in healthcare, that will focus our support in research and the advocation of cancer awareness. We will help empower young professionals to ensure they stay involved in their area of interest and provide financial assitance to conventions and research campaigns to improve their knowledge for their future employment. The Chinese Culture & Language Club is a great way for ODU students to interact culturally. We help students discover unique aspects of Chinese culture and provide language assistance, while helping international students from China to explore America and practice their English.

Owens House, pays homage to the legacy of local civil rights icon and long-time supporter of Old Dominion University, Dr. Hugo A. Owens Sr. Owens House, located on 49th street near Powhatan Avenue, is the newest residence hall in the Runte Quad neighborhood, near the Webb Center, the P.O.D. market in Dominion House, and the Student Recreation Center.

At five stories and housing 470 students, it is ODU's second largest residential facility intentionally designed to foster partnership between residential living and academic success. Students living in Owens House are encouraged to engage, study, create, and grow into citizens that benefit the fabric of the Monarch Community.

Owens House features classrooms, project rooms, and study spaces that support academic initiatives and student engagement in course-specific studies. Owens House is also home to four Living-Learning Communities (Cybersecurity LLC, Engineering LLC, Entrepreneurship & Gaming LLC, and Health Professions LLC). Scotland House is paired with England House to form one community. The Latino Student Alliance at Old Dominion (LSA) is a multi-ethnic organization dedicated to educating and unifying students of all races at Old Dominion University while understanding, appreciating, and connecting with the Hispanic ethnicity. Though membership is not limited to anyone, students who find LSA most beneficial are international and Spanish language students, those interested in Hispanic cultures (dialects, dances, foods, traditions), individuals seeking cross-cultural experiences, and people seeking fellowship or on/off-campus diversions. We provide voluntary services to the ODU and Tidewater communities while generating an apprehension of the Hispanic ethnicity through every event, service provided, and educational program offered.

Learning Communities, which consists of Impact Learning Communities (ILCs), Living-Learning Communities (LLCs), and Theme Communities (TCs), aid undergraduate students in the transition to college by allowing them to create an instant community with their peers. The LC experience offers the opportunity for students with similar interests to learn and/or live together. In addition to smaller class sizes, students build deeper connections with faculty, participate in enrichment activities, and are supported by a peer mentor. ILCs are open to undergraduate students living on or off campus, while LLCs and TCs are for students living on campus. LLC and TC students live on the same residential floor.

Monarch 2 Monarch "First Generation Edition" is a new extension of the mentorship program, Monarch 2 Monarch, specifically designed for first-generation and transfer students. Monarch 2 Monarch originally targeted incoming freshmen looking for a place to call home. While both of these programs share an identity, they differ in certain aspects. The mission of the First Generation Edition is to serve undergraduates, specifically: freshmen and sophomores in their transition to the university. This program will pair freshmen and sophomores with a specific upperclassman who can identify the challenges and opportunities of a first-generation and transfer student.

Originally founded in 1930 as the The High Hat, the paper became the Mace & Crown in 1961. The Mace & Crown is a primarily self-supporting news magazine, maintaining journalistic independence from the university.

The Monarch 2 Monarch mentoring program is designed to cultivate the monarch mind by creating scholastic peer-to-peer relationships among incoming and upperclassmen monarchs.

The Monarch 2 Monarch mentoring program will grant freshmen students the opportunity to receive additional assistance while transitioning into college by being assigned an upperclassman mentor. The purpose of this program is to create peer-to-peer relationships among freshmen students and upperclassmen so freshmen are able to feel more comfortable being in their new monarch territory. This will be a voluntary program for both those who wish to become a mentor and those who wish to get mentored.
