I want to loop you in on some of the major programs that are offered this week, as well as provide helpful links for Monarchs LEAD credit!

Leadership Lecture Series 2/18 at 12pm EST

The first installment of our Leadership Lecture Series for this semester begins on Wednesday at 12pm via Zoom.

The topic of this session is "Myers Briggs Type Indicator" (MBTI). A big componet of this session is the self-assessment that give you your type which will be interpreted in the session. Use the following instructions to get your type before tomorrow morning:

  2. Complete the brief registration information (or log in if you have previously registered for the Elevate platform).

Attending 3 or more Lecture Series throughout your time in college gives you credit for Monarchs LEAD and its rewards, such as a medal, cord, or stole.

The Center for Career & Leadership Development has many leadership opportunities available. The Leadership Lecture Series offers leadership-focused programs throughout each semester to give students the opportunity to build on current leadership skills.

Click on the links below to review the topics and register for individual workshops or to register your entire organization for a workshop.

Start your leadership journey, sign up for the Leadership Lecture Series. Students who complete three or more sessions in a semester receive a Leadership Certificate and Medal for graduation.

Monarchs LEAD Requirements

Here is a reminder of the Monarchs LEAD requirements

Emerging Leaders (Phase 1)
Focus: Self-awareness and campus engagement
Complete the following:

  • Attend 3 Leadership Lecture Series sessions
  • Join a student organization
  • Participate in a leadership development experience
Reward:
  • Medal and certificate

Developing Leader (Phase 2)
Focus: Leadership skills and applied experience
Complete the following:

  • Attend 6 Leadership Lecture Series sessions
  • Hold a leadership role in an organization or group
  • Log 10 service hours

Reward:

  • Graduation cord and charm

Monarch Leader (Final Phase)
Focus: Civic engagement, mentorship, and advanced leadership
Complete the following:

  • Attend 9 Leadership Lecture Series sessions
  • Log 20 service hours
  • Participate in a year-long mentoring experience
  • Serve as a mentor to others

Reward:

  • Stole
