Mission
We the members of THE MONARCH ASIAN STUDIES SOCIETY, in order to advance the professionalism of, and educational opportunities for, our MEMBERSHIP through commitment to the UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM FOR ASIAN STUDIES, the ASIAN STUDIES INSTITUTE, the UNIVERSITY and the COMMUNITY, do hereby establish this constitution.

Membership Benefits
a. Creating proactive, knowledgeable, and effective leaders through service to the community.
b. Providing educational opportunities that enhance the knowledge and development of members and the ODU community on topics related to Asian Studies.
c. Facilitating a community among ODU students and faculty connected by their interest in Asian studies.
d. Spreading Awareness of current events in Asia and events related to Asian Studies happening on campus and in Hampton Roads.
e. Encouraging scholarship in the field of Asian Studies.
