Looking for a way to get more involved in the IDT program, build your résumé, and make a difference for your fellow graduate students? The Instructional Design and Technology Graduate Student Organization (IDT GSO) at Old Dominion University has an exciting opportunity for you!
We're looking for enthusiastic IDT/LDE graduate students to join our leadership team! Beginning in Spring 2027, we'll have two officer positions available: Treasurer and Communications Officer. Both positions serve a one-academic-year term and offer a great opportunity to gain hands-on leadership experience while helping our IDT/LDE community grow and thrive.

Treasurer
Do you enjoy organization, planning, and keeping things running smoothly? As Treasurer, you'll help manage the financial side of the IDT GSO and support the activities and events that bring our community together.
Responsibilities include:

Maintaining accurate financial records.

Completing forms and attending meetings to secure funding from the Student Government Association (SGA).

Coordinating payments for guest speakers and organizational events.
Communications Officer
Are you someone who enjoys keeping people informed, organized, and connected? As Communications Officer, you'll play an important role in making sure our members stay up to date on everything happening with the IDT GSO.
Responsibilities include:

Maintaining accurate minutes of organizational meetings.

Sending meeting reminders and calendar invitations.

Managing internal communications with IDT GSO members.
