Mission Dedicated to enriching the graduate student experience at Batten College of Engineering and Technology at Old Dominion University, the Graduate Student Association will advance the needs and interests of our diverse student body through providing a graduate voice in college affairs; promoting personal, professional, and academic growth and development, and fostering institutional excellence in certificate, masters, and doctoral scholarship and research to encourage graduate students to reach their full potentials at the University, in their careers, and beyond.
Membership Benefits1.Professional Development: Conducting seminars for overall (professional, career and academic) development of graduate and undergraduate students.2.Networking Opportunities: Act as a bridge between student and faculty and also among the students. Creating opportunities for students for their professional growth such as assistantships, research undergraduate opportunities.3.Community Building: Be part of a supportive community that fosters a sense of belonging, inclusion, and mutual support among graduate students.4.Socialization: Monthly meeting for students to put forward their problems, where the board members can work on it.5.Recognition and Awards: Eligibility for recognition, awards, and scholarships offered through the association for outstanding academic and community contributions.
